BRIAN L. WRAY
CONSTRUCTION CONSULTANT
Brian was a full service, turn-key General Contactor in Summit County, Colorado from 1988-2020. His expertise in challenging High-Country Construction Methods began in the1970's. With a genuine love to create beautiful one-of-a-kind structures, he apprenticed in Oregon with Log Hand Crafters in the early 80's. He returned to his Native Colorado to specialize in Luxury Custom Log homes in 1988. Brian was the hands-on Project Manager on over 70 Custom Homes He stayed connected to the community and development issues by serving on two planning commissions and served as Board Member for The Summit County Builder Association. He continues to follow the latest Sustainable Building Practices to assure comfortable energy efficient dwellings for each of our clients. Now retired from day to day construction operations, he shares is expertise and knowledge of the process through homeowner and builder coaching and consultation services on the unique aspects of System Built Home construction for SIPS, Log & Timber Frame style homes.
KAREN L. WRAY
DESIGN SPECIALIST/SALES ADVISOR
Karen acted at Sales Manager, Interior Designer, Design Coordinator, and Client Liaison for Mountain Log Homes from 2008-2020. Her understanding of all aspects of the construction process make her a valuable partner to her clients as they navigate the extensive process of designing and building a custom home in Resort Communities.
Her creativity, organizational skills and strong communication are applauded by her homeowners. Karen’s original background was in sales, but her keen sense of personal style, coupled with her resourcefulness and use of on-line design tools have allowed her to create some spectacular mountain retreats. Karen prides herself on livable plans that conform to client lifestyle, budget and taste and develops a very personal working relationship with each owner. Though her primary role is to help find the right supplier and floor plan, she can also be contracted to do home furnishings and finishes. With a passion for light, she is a certified American Lighting Association Lighting Specialist. Her focus on light control through proper windows, window coverings and lighting control through layered lighting plans enhance each project.
Karen has been recognized with multiple design awards in the Summit County Parade of Homes since 2006. Her projects have been featured in Log Home Living Magazine multiple times and awarded the Best Overall Home in the Parade of Homes by Mountain Living Magazine. Her community involvement includes recognition as Affiliate of the Year with both the Summit County Builders and Realtors Associations, Volunteer of the Year for the St. Anthony Medical Center Foundation, and a member of Rotary International since 2001.
