WESTERN RED Cedar Log

Pioneer Log Homes
PIONEER LOG HOMES OF B.C.

Pioneer employs a team of highly skilled draftsman and architects to customize each project. Due to the unique nature of these homes, we highly recommend using their in-house drafting team to best maximize the features of their over-sized logs. A typical design deposit of $10/sf will get a set of architectural floor plans and elevations. They then use local Structural Engineers for final engineering to your site-specific requirements.

Average building cost for a Turn-key Pioneer Log Home can run from $800-$1200 square foot depending on floor plan complexity, site development needs, and finish selections.  You can see the spectacular hand crafting in the 2017 Log delivery videos below.

Since 2002, we have been a Preferred Distributor for Pioneer Log Homes of BC hand crafted Western Red Cedar Log Homes in the Ski Resort Communities of Colorado.

These distinct homes are totally unique and some of the most beautiful natural wood structures on earth.

Western Red Cedar are some of the largest diameter Logs used in Log Home Construction and best suited for homes over 4000 sq/ ft. Recognized for their flared tails, butterfly notch corners, irregular log, “family trees”, rich red coloration, and larger diameter, these homes are in a category of their own. In addition to full log structures, they offer a post and beam version with the distinct flared ends, large posts and trusses…but allowing for some dry wall between the logs.

You may have seen their team of log crafters on the television series Timber Kings. Two of our Breckenridge Pioneer projects were featured in a spin off show "Carver Kings in 2015. Look for the Totem and Mountain Lion episodes!

These Hand-Crafted Homes are artfully assembled by hand and chain saw in Williams Lake, B.C., then numbered and loaded onto 53ft. Trucks and delivered to your home-site for reassembly by our crew with the help of a 20-ton crane. Depending on the home size, this re-assembly can happen in under a week.
